Scholarship Awarded by the Department

The Department of Technical Education provides the following type of scholarships in order to encourage and support brilliant students as well as students belonging to the poor sections of society: -

Sr.No.	Type of Scholarship	Rate of Scholarship
1.	175 Technical Scholarships for the bonafide Himachali students undergoing degree program in Engineering Colleges.	SC/ST students @ Rs.500/-PM General Candidates @ RS. 300/-PM * This Scholarship Scheme covers 100% SC/ST/IRDP and Girl Students
2.	75 Technical Scholarships for bonafide Himachali Students undergoing diploma program in various Polytechnic Colleges	Rs.200/-PM for all categories. * This Scholarship Scheme covers 100% SC/ST/IRDP and Girl Students
3.	Technical Scholarship for SC/ST and OBC Candidates undergoing Craftsman Training in ITI’s	Rs.250/-PM for all categories.
4.	Soldier Welfare Board Scholarship for the ward of ex-serviceman	Rs. 100/- P.M.
5.	I.R.D.P.	Rs. 100/- P.M.
